Richmond Maritime Festival

Here is a slideshow from the Richmond Maritime Festival weekend. We lucked out with perfect weather for the event! Loads of people were interested in making fish prints and contributing to the public art installation on the fence along the First Nations' bunkhouse. We went through over 700 pieces of fabric, so I'd have to say that it was a successful weekend of art-making!

Richmond Maritime Festival

Join me and Colette Lisoway http://www.colettelisoway.com/ at the Richmond Maritime Festival on August 10 & 11th to make fish prints! Adapted from the traditonal Japanese art of gyotaku, we will be using an assortment of fish replicas to print onto fabric and then using those prints we will create a community art installation.

Come find us in Zone 3 at the festival! Richmond Maritime Festival activities
We'll be at the southwest corner of the First Nations Bunkhouse (see below picture)
